Sonic 2: Painto Edition is a hack made by Painto Team for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as a part of Sonic Hacking Contest.

Sonic 2: S3 Editon is an assembly hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 by Alriightyman for the Sega Mega Drive. It places the levels of Sonic 2 into the engine of Sonic the Hedgehog 3; providing many of its features, including Act transitions, a Sonic 3 Save Screen, and Tails ability to fly.

Sonic 2D Blast Is a work in progress hack by Painto Maniak initially started as a proof of concept but with the amount of feed back recieved about the hack, he decided to continue it.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Pro Survivor is a hack with difficulty layout in levels trying be a challenging game.

is not a demo version of anything, it's just a collection of boss ideas I had, which were inspired by games from Konami. Keep in mind that these bosses are still difficult and you'll need to spend time studying their pattern to win.

There's Quick Start in the game, which is a feature from Contra Hard Corps. It allows for instant respawning without reloading the level.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Pro Survivor it's an palette and layout hack; the point on this one it's to have a extra difficult and hard layout (though fair), with some improved gimmicks.

In the last year, I wasn't very happy with the state of the hack, so this one I decided to give it a better effort and polish everything with my best effort (with new content, of course)!
Unfortunately, it's still just a demo and not a full version. So the 5 only levels available are:
Angel Island Zone, Hydrocity Zone Act 1, Ice Cap Zone, Flying Battery Zone and Sandopolis Zone (unfortunately too, AIZ and ICZ2 isn't ready yet for Knuckles, so I hope you understand).

Also, has a new Main Menu and a New mode (up to you unlock), and in the future will have more features.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The Challenges is an award-winning hack of Sonic 3 & Knuckles by ColinC10. In this hack the player must complete various levels from S3&K, which newly feature specific challenges to complete, e.g. collecting a certain number of rings or protecting Tails from danger. Completing challenges unlocks more challenges, and players' progress is automatically saved to SRAM.

Sonic 3 and Amy Rose is a fan-made hack of the game Sonic 3 & Knuckles for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, with character Amy Rose as playable character in place of Sonic the Hedgehog. The games' sprites (modified from Sonic CD) use Amy's initial design prior to Sonic Adventure.

The game was modified by Sonic Retro member E-122-Psi with additional programming and coding by other members including Tiddles, and additional sprite work by ChelseaCatGirl and MotorRoach.

The aim of this hack is to be a tag team for Sonic 3 and Knuckles (simliar to the tag team gimmick from Sonic Mania's encore mode), where the player has the ability to swap between two players with the press of a button.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sally Acorn (aka Sally in Sonic 3) is a fan-made ROM of the game Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (and Sonic and Knuckles) for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, with Princess Sally Acorn as a playable character in place of Sonic the Hedgehog

The game was modified by Sonic Retro member E-122-Psi, with additional programming and coding by other members including Selbi, Markeyjester and Snkenjoi.


Sally is slower than Sonic and can't use spin attacks; however, she has a number of stealth and agility-based abilities to compensate and access areas Sonic had difficulty reaching, as well as the use of handheld device NICOLE:

NICOLE Laser Attack: Press A and Sally uses NICOLE to fire a small projectile which hits nearby enemies and obstacles.
NICOLE Scan Mode: Press B and NICOLE will send a data wave to reprogram monitors and other Eggman traps.
NICOLE Downward Laser: Press Down + A/B while airborne to fire or scan at objects straight below. Sally also gets a small vertical boost.
Slide: Press Down while running to slide on the ground for a short distance. Sally can also slide under certain obstacles using this method.
Somersault Dash: Press Down + C while sliding on the ground and Sally will somersault forward at a high speed. This is useful for jumping long distances.
Upward Dash: Hold Down + C while on the ground and Sally will rev her feet on the spot as opposed to a spin dash. Let go of Down to charge full throttle in the facing direction. Be careful though, Sally is vulnerable to blockading obstacles and enemies.

Sally also replaces Sonic in Competition Mode. She plays identically to 1 Player Mode.

Sonic 3 Cz is a hack by Hayate which adds Amy Rose and many new gameplay features to Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
