Sound test:
Press A(2), Left, B(2), Left, C(2) at the title screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Alternately, to access the sound test option, you must finish the game under any difficulty setting. Then, enter the option menu and the "Sound Test" option will be unlocked below the "Input Test" option.
