Sonic - Hyper X is a 2004 hack of Sonic the Hedgehog created by Skaarg. It was one of the first Sonic hacks that had all of its music changed. In addition, it also featured modified palettes and layouts. Skaarg had stated that he was going to continue to expand upon his hack, but it seems highly unlikely at this point.

Sonic - The Lost Land is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive by Shadow Fire. The game is comprised of 7 levels, each filled with traps and badniks intent on bringing down Sonic once and for all. There is also a special realm consisting of 6 Chaos Emeralds. If you have collected at least 50 rings by the time you finish the level, you will see a giant ring. Jump into it to be taken to the secret realm. A dynamic palette system is set up , making each act load its own palette (à la Knuckles' Chaotix), as well as a dynamic music system, allowing each act to load its own music.

A sonic hack based on Sonic 1 made by Ashuro Sonic & Ashuro was released during the Sonic Hacking Contest 2016, I presented the first version of this project: The 3.0 (which I later updated to Sonic Stuff Research Group as 3.1).I received a lot of good feedback and decided to continue this project, which seemed unfinished. I decided to recast 60% of the game, improve a lot of things, I fixed so many bugs, technical problems, unfinished plans.Story :After losing once again against Sonic, Tails and Knuckles on Angel Island, Dr. Eggman in a desperate attempt will use the residual energy of the Chaos Emeralds and damage the spatio-temporal balance of their dimension.Sonic's world will find itself on the same vibratory plane as its parallel universe, that of Ashuro the badger.
